✉ Proton Mail: Your Inbox, Locked Down
Proton Mail is billed as the world’s largest encrypted email service, trusted by over 100 million users. Zero-access encryption means message content stays unreadable to anyone but you, while advanced spam and phishing filters keep the noise out. There are no ads and no tracking, and the organizing tools make a messy inbox manageable. Strong ratings on iOS and Android show the experience is polished, not just principled.
☁ Proton Drive: Cloud Storage Without the Eavesdropper
Drive applies end-to-end encryption to files and photos, so only you and the people you share with can open them. Proton states that it does no data mining, no tracking and no AI training on your content. Photo backup and desktop sync cover the basics, while Proton Docs and Sheets (Drive Plus) add private collaboration. Version history reaching back up to 10 years is a rare safety net for accidental edits.
🔑 Proton Pass: The Password Manager That Knows Nothing
Pass is end-to-end encrypted by default and built on zero-knowledge principles, so only you can reach your passwords. It is open-source and independently audited, which matters more than any marketing claim. Passkeys, built-in 2FA and cross-browser autofill make strong credentials effortless, and built-in email aliases cut spam and identity leaks. The free plan offers unlimited passwords on unlimited devices, a standout deal.
