This Editorial Policy describes the standards and processes Depplo follows when producing news coverage and product reviews across VPN, gaming, AI, and software.

1. Editorial Independence

Our editorial opinions, ratings, and rankings are determined solely by our editorial team based on our stated evaluation criteria. Affiliate and advertising relationships do not determine whether a product is covered, how it is scored, or where it ranks. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how we’re funded.

2. How We Evaluate Products

Depending on the category, our review process may include:

VPN Reviews: speed testing, security and encryption audits, no-log claim verification, streaming/unblocking tests, and price comparison against competitors.
Gaming Reviews: hands-on gameplay testing across PC, console, mobile, indie, and VR titles, evaluated for gameplay, performance, and value.
AI Reviews: hands-on testing of chatbots, image/video generators, coding assistants, and productivity/voice AI tools for accuracy, usability, and output quality.
Software Reviews: functional testing of productivity, security, design, and utility software for performance, usability, and value for money.

3. Sourcing and Fact-Checking

We prioritize primary sources — official vendor documentation, direct testing, and verifiable data — and cross-check claims where possible. Where information comes from a vendor or press release, we note this where relevant.

4. Corrections Process

5. Updates to Reviews

Products, pricing, and features change frequently. We periodically revisit and update review content to reflect material changes; the “Last updated” date on an article reflects the most recent substantive review.

6. Sponsored Content
